Details: Blood n Fire Ministry of Alaska started in 2005. We started doing an outreach at Land and Cabins in Wasilla delivering small bags of food weekly and sharing the love of Jesus with people. That location was called "the treasure boxes" because of the hidden treasures that live in that area. Loving people were they are at in life is something we strongly believe in. Food Pantry is open Wednesday & Friday 2-5pmClothing Pantry is open Monday 2-5pm. Both food and clothing are available once a month

We provide emergency and on-going food bank services to those families who meet the financial eligibility requirements within the Compact service area. Because OSG funds the food bank services, we have a limited service area- those Tribes that compact their OSG program with BBNA- unless other Tribes contribute to the Food Bank for services.

Details: Fellowship In Serving Humanity - F.I.S.H. - delivers emergency food aid to people in need in Anchorage, Alaska, responding to a call for help through a network of volunteers. Whether at the end of a paycheck, out of work, beset by illness or in a family crisis, many people face difficult times. F.I.S.H. wants to be there for those who find themselves in an emergency needing food. How F.I.S.H. Works: - Answer Phone. When someone calls the F.I.S.H. line, a volunteer gathers information about family size, children’s ages and special dietary needs. - Shop. Volunteer shoppers purchase supplies to provide healthy meals. Food also comes into the F.I.S.H. pantry from food drives and The Food Bank of Alaska. - Pack. Volunteer packers prepare supplies to meet the needs of each family accordingly to pre-set guidelines. - Deliver. Volunteer drivers then deliver the groceries directly to the family the same day they call.

Details: The Mobile Food Pantry Program was created 3 years ago as a joint venture initiative of the Food Bank of Alaska and the First CME Church. The goal of the program is to provide food assistance to families and individuals in need within the communities. To promote a balanced meals, the mobile food pantry typically distributes bread, baked goods, fresh produce, frozen and refrigerated foods, such as meat and dairy products including boxed and canned goods. Details: Distribute food to over 200 families each week on Tuesdays from 10:30am-1:30pm. Tuesday is a client choice opportunity where neighbors are escorted through a grocery store set up within our ministry center. Our neighbors are allowed to select the food items for their family. This gives them the freedom to choose foods that they will eat and not waste. Saturday is a more relaxed family atmosphere where neighbors are invited to join with others for a church service and hot cooked meal beginning at 4:30pm. This is a ministry partnership with New Hope Christian Fellowship. During the Tuesday food distribution there is an opportunity given to our neighbors to get clothes in our Clothing room.

Details: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church operates a food pantry that connects people in need of assistance in the Chugiak, Birchwood, Peters Creek, and Eagle River areas with basic food supplies. The distribution is based on family size and financial need. We now have USDA commidities and are a part of TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program).
