  • Description: On October 1, 2013 we opend our doors as The Food Pantry of New Orleans serving on the first day, 153 households and serving 269 Hot Meals to individuals, of which 133 were senior citizens that we delivered the meals to their homes. The Food Pantry of New Orleans is a full service Food Pantry and Hot Meal distribution center targeting both the children and the elderly of New Orleans East. We excited to have Giving HOPE and Second Harvest work together to open and operate a much needed resource in New Orleans East.
