- Description: Loaves & Fishes began as the brain-child of the Mission Committee of Christ Presbyterian Church in September 2008. At the time, we had a food pantry, but believed the food ministry would be more effective if all the churches of Pooler united in a focused effort. Gateway Community Methodist Church and Morningstar Baptist came on-board. Loaves & Fishes opened its doors in January, 2009. The Food Pantry is open several times a month. Services are available to: Pooler Residents, Member of a Sponsoring Church, Scholarship recipient of the West Chatham YMCA, 165 Issac G. LaRoche Dr., Pooler, GA 31322, Referral by a Pooler physician. The Food Pantry is located at the West Chatham YMCA off of Pooler Parkway, 165 Issac G. LaRoche Dr.Pooler, GA 31322.
