His Hands Outreach Ministry
Comment from Ronda Crawford: Hello! I am new to this area. I have been in Jonesboro LA for six months now. I have not been able to acquire full time employment to support myself. I currently am employed as PRN at JP Hospital. I have not been called into work for two months now. All of my utilities are in danger of being disconnected. I have already received assistance on my utilities about four months ago. I have asked family for help. Family have given what they can. I'm asking if you can assist me with at least food to last for two weeks. My car is also in a shop and I am unable to now pay for the repair work. I had taken my car to the shop prior to learning that my service was not needed at work. If you can assist me with food, the food would have to be delivered to my home. I have walked all over Jonesboro looking for work and still doing so. If you have seen an old lady walking, most likely it is me! God bless you and Merry Christmas! Ronda Crawford

- Description: His Hands Outreach Ministry is sponsored by First Baptist Church of Jonesboro and supported by numerous churches in the community including Beech Springs Baptist Church, Caney Lake Baptist Church, Jonesboro United Methodist Church, St. Lucy's Catholic Church, Siloam Baptist Church and Springhill Baptist Church as well as many individuals and Jonesboro Walmart. The store front ministry is now open Monday through Friday mornings from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. for food and clothing distribution free of charge to Jackson Parish residents in need of assistance (based on income guidelines) as well as providing household items for burnout victimss and school uniform assistance. Currently over 400 families receive grocery assistance once every three months and over 100 individuals receive clothing assistance once every 30 days. The ministry's long term goal is to be able to provide grocery assistance to our families every other month but we need your help to do so both financially and by being our volunteer base. Donations of clothing and household items are also needed. Any items that we are unable to use are sent to Rolling Hills or to Charity Shoes and Clothing in Dallas, Texas. You may drop off donations by our front door on weekday mornings before 10:00 a.m. After that time, please leave your donations on the ramp by the side door. Please note that all food donations need to be dropped off on the ramp regardless of the time of donation.
