Gateway Vineyard Food Pantry Richmond, IN 47374 765.966.6016 |
Details: Gateway Vineyard Food Pantry was established in 2006 with the vision to provide a food outlet for those in need, in the Richmond area. The Church board became the governing board for the newly formed outreach and a director was named to begin the planning process. The biblical principle on which the pantry was founded upon was the commission to feed the poor. The goal of the Food Pantry is to provide food to fill the basic need of hungry people in the Richmond community. We hope to raise the awareness in the community of the hunger and poverty present. We also desire to come along other established organizations to work together to find solutions that will bring hope and dignity to those in need. The pantry outreach is reaching the community with God's love and compassion. The volunteers want to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of the client. This is being accomplished by Spirit-led people honoring others with supplying food, prayer and extending God's love to them. Food items are passed out each 4th Saturday of the month (exceptions are when holidays fall on the 4th, the date will be changed to the 3rd Saturday). Dates and events are listed in the media and anyone in need is welcome to come to receive food items and prayer. |
