Details: Having started out as an Eagle Scout project, our Food Pantry Ministry has grown tremendously over the years and has been a great way for our church to help those in our community. The Food Pantry is completely volunteer run. They hold interviews with families wishing to use this service, organize donations from both within the church and from several grocery stores, stock shelves, and hand out food to families in need. We are open every Tuesday, by appointment only, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. This past year, we have been able to help a record number of families - 90 in one month alone!

Details: Food Pantry Ministry of Liberty Baptist Church provides food to those in the community that need assistance. Food distribution is every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00. There are opportunities to assist in this ministry every week. Food pick-up and prep occurs on Tuesdays at 3:00pm. People are needed to unload the food, stock the shelves, and set out food for the next distribution. Food distribution occurs on Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00. The HOPE Cupboard, situated at 1416 N. 8th Street, Pekin, IL 61555.  Hours are: Tuesday from 10:00-1:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:00-3:45 p.m. Our dedicated food pantry provides a recipient-choice shopping cart experience for individuals or families once a month. Participating is straightforward, as recipients only need to bring valid identification to access this valuable resource. Our pantry is stocked with a variety of food and personal hygiene items, sourced from generous donations made by groups like Midwest Food Bank, Peoria Area Food Bank, as well as local businesses and individuals. With a commitment to accessibility, The HOPE Cupboard opens its doors at least two times per week, ensuring that our community members have regular opportunities to secure essential provisions and support their well-being.

 

Our Paws of HOPE Pet Pantry operates during the same time as the food pantry.  Avaiability is based upon the generousity of those willing to donate pet food for distribution to our surrounding community.  Thank you to all who give!
