Edwards Street Fellowship Center Food Pantry
Hattiesburg, MS 39404
601.544.6149
Details: Our food pantry provides emergency food to over 1,000 households every month. Pantry clients are from the following Mississippi counties: Covington, Forrest, Jasper, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar and Wayne. Clients may receive food bags one time per month. At their initial visit to our pantry, clients complete a Client Eligibility Form on which they disclose the names and ages of all household members and total income from all sources (including SNAP, TANF, and SSI). Returning clients must re-certify their eligibility every three months. Our goal is to provide our clients with around 10 pounds of food per household member during their monthly visit to our food pantry. Obviously 10 pounds is only supplemental or emergency food, not enough to sustain one person for an entire month. Since we serve over 1,000 families - or 2,400 people - each month, our distribution goal is approximately 25,000 pounds of food per month.
