The Five Loaves & Two Fish Food Pantry Griffin, GA 30223 678.603.1238 |
Details: We are a non-profit organization committed to helping the local community with food/grocery needs. We started The Five Loaves & Two Fish Food Pantry in Griffin, Georgia in the late 1980s as a service of All Faiths Christian Ministries. The Five Loaves & Two Fish Food Pantry provides a monthly bag of groceries to families in need. The Food Pantry seeks to provide several cans of vegetables, canned tuna or salmon, peanut butter, dry goods such as corn meal, bread, and meat in each allocation. Whenever they are available, fresh fruit and vegetables are also included. The Food Pantry is a partner in the Spalding County Collaborative Authority for Families and Children. As such, the Food Pantry works to connect families in need with the community resources most able to help them. For this reason, the Food Pantry avoids taking on new projects that "reinvent the wheel," and instead support the work of other community agencies to address areas of need other than hunger. The Food Pantry's hours of operation are as follows: Monday: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. |
IMPACT Christian Ministries - Soup Kitchen/Food Pantry Griffin, GA 30223 770.412.9092 |
Details: ICM is a community outreach ministry that ministers to people of all walks of life and from all levels of society; including the homeless, the needy and those who may have temporarily fallen on hard times. God often leads us to minister to those who society turns its back on (drug/alcohol addicts, prostitutes) - the very ones Jesus came to set free. We currently have an outreach kitchen, chapel and clothing store to help in meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the community. We also partner with other local ministries such as food banks that distribute groceries, local churches that do community service projects and foreign missions ministries that provide for the physical needs of people. |
