Details: Students at CGAA are afforded the unique opportunity to witness the need that exists in their own community by running and maintaining their very own student-led food pantry. The CARE Pantry opened its doors in 2009 and has been serving the needs of Johnson County residents ever since. CGAA students are responsible for running and maintaining the pantry, while assisting recipients on a weekly basis to fulfill their needs. The CARE Pantry is the only student-facilitated food pantry that serves an entire county (Johnson) in the state of Indiana. CGAA proudly partners with Gleaners Food Bank and Midwest Food Bank in order to keep its shelves full. Monetary and other donations from various individuals and groups also assist in keeping our doors open. It is an invaluable experience for our students to see that they can, in fact, truly make a difference in the lives of those they may or may not know!
