Details: The Barrington Community Food Pantry was formed in 1993 when the food pantries of the town’s churches and organizations were merged into one collaborative effort. The purpose was to improve service to the community’s residents in need of assistance and consolidate the number of places they needed to reach out for assistance. We distribute food and personal care products and provide holiday baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Gifts for children are included at Christmas. The Pantry is supported by the Town of Barrington, Barrington churches and schools, and area organizations, businesses, and individuals. The Barrington Community Food Pantry is exempt from Federal income tax under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible under Section 170 of the Code. Our Business ID Number is: 27-0896389. We have a five-member board of directors that meets quarterly. We receive food from the following sources: donations from food drives, Federal Surplus Food, the NH Food Bank, donations, and food purchased from monetary donations. Our Pantry is truly a community effort. Many people work behind the scenes and up front every Thursday evening all year to make it a success. If you already volunteer or donate to a local charity, thank you. If not, consider us, the Barrington Community Food Pantry, 603-664-0233. Open: Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 PM
