Details: The Food Pantry is located in the Community Center in the rooms on the right as you come in the door off the parking lot between the Church and the Community Center. It is operated entirely by over 30 volunteers and donations. The hours are from 12:30-2:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 6:30-7:30 pm on Thursday, closed on holidays. Who do we serve: Madison County residents who meet income guidelines; The elderly, many raising their grandchildren; Young families; The unemployed or under employed; The disabled; The homeless; Those with no money. We offer food, prayer, listening, nutrition classes, christmas gift bags, and information for other assistance.

Details: The Community Dining Room is open to anyone in need of a meal. Whether it is someone passing through, or a lifelong Anderson resident, each individual can walk in and be fed, no questions asked.* The kitchen and dining room is supported through paid staff, residents and volunteer help. On an average day, 200-250 meals are provided to both residents and walk-ins from the community. Church groups, families, and other interested organizations donate food, volunteer to cook and serve meals, and/or sit down to share a meal with our residents. Your presence and participation in the Community Dining Room ministry helps with the process of gaining understanding, which can eliminate misconceptions and fear. This provides an important bridge in the process of healing and hope for those in need. Breakfast: Monday - Saturday 7:30 a.m., Lunch: Monday - Saturday 12:00 noon, Sunday 1:00 p.m., Dinner: Sunday - Friday 5:00 p.m.

Details: Did you know 12,200 residents of Madison County live below the poverty level? Some local children go to bed hungry. We CAN and we WILL help. You can help by joining the Food Pantry Committee, working at the pantry, donating money (envelopes are in the pews at church), donating can goods, saving plastic grocery bags, and praying. The St. John's Food Pantry is run with the assistance of the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. It is open from 6:00 to 7:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month (unless that day is a Holiday). To receive food, plan to arrive around 2 to 3:00 pm to receive your number and be sure to bring a photo ID. You may receive food from the Food Pantry each time it is open.
