- Description: In 1882 the New Brunswick Corps was commissioned as the seventh Corps in the United States. The New Brunswick Corps service area includes: East Brunswick, Highland Park, Milltown, New Brunswick and North Brunswick. A significant increase in persons seeking assistance is noticeable and comparable to the population growth within this area. There has been a large influx of non-English speaking families to which The Salvation Army has provided a helping hand meeting basic needs such as food, rental, utility and medical assistance. As it has done for more than a century The Salvation Army has kept pace and continues to play an essential role in the lives of area residents fulfilling it’s national promise of “Doing the Most Good.â€
