  • Description: Coastside Hope was established in 1976 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit human services agency to benefit the residents of the San Mateo County Coastside. The agency was previously known as the Coastside Opportunity Center but we changed our name in 2006 to better reflect what we bring to our clients ... hope for a better life and a more secure future. Coastside Hope's mission is to help our neighbors meet their most basic needs while helping every one of us reach our full potential. We accomplish this by providing: NECESSITIES – we help Coastside neighbors by providing food, clothing, housing assistance and support when they need it most; OPPORTUNITIES – we help neighbors connect with our own established programs and services and those of others so that they may have the chance to achieve more; COMMUNITY – Coastside Hope provides us all (staff, donors and volunteers) with the chance to grow by coming together to take care of our Coastside community through mutual giving and volunteering. All aid and services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. Each year we touch the lives of over 3,000 people including more than 900 children.
