Our pantry remains stocked with bread, dairy products, meat, canned goods, fresh produce, and grains. Though many times we wonder where the food will come from we have never had to shorten our hours or days open to the public. God has remained faithful to provide enough to serve our clientele. Clients are able to qualify for a food box by supplying a simple proof of address and filling out a short form. We serve the Nampa, Melba, Homedale, Marsing, and Murphy area. Clients may recieve a food box every 60 days. Food boxes are distributed Monday through Thursdays. Fridays we distribute bread and perishable foods which that we cannot store. This enables our clients to receive an extra bonus of fresh vegetables or fruit.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho District Council, Inc. - Food Pantry
Nampa, ID 83651
Details: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Idaho District Council operates three Food Pantries. People need food for many reasons. High fuel and housing costs make it difficult for families to make ends meet. In most people's budget, food dollars are the last dollars spent. If any other crisis comes up, they do not have enough to buy the food they need. Then they come to pantries such as ours for help. Food is given to anyone who walks in and no one is turned away. When our Food Pantry volunteers note a frequent visitor to the Food Pantry it signals that perhaps there is a need for further assistance or resource information. Hours: Tuesday & Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
