Description:
The Samaritans are a ministry that cares for those in the parish and community who need food, clothing and other assistance. They can provide food, clothing, help with utility bills and shelter for those in need. They also provide Back to School Backpacks, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter baskets to hundreds of families. They organize and distribut hundreds of toys for children at Christmas. The ministry consists of dedicated parishioners who operate from the small building on your right as you enter the Church property. Their office hours are Monday, & Wednesday 9am-4pm and Fridays 9am-3pm. The ministry is funded by donations from the Parish. The money that is put in the Poor Box in the rear of the Church goes to Samaritans, as well as several collections per year. The Samaritans are a giving arm of St Pius the Tenth Church and a ministry that allows all of us to “Feed the Hungryâ€.
