Serving Clark County residents who are at or below 165% of poverty, the Food Pantry is available to clients one time during each calendar month. We follow USDA guidelines and operate a CLIENT CHOICE food pantry. The CLIENT CHOICE model is rapidly replacing the old “fixed bag or box†model that once was prevalent in the U.S. This model allows our clients to retain a sense of dignity and it also means less waste, as the client who is choosing the food is the only one who knows about allergies, dietary restrictions and likes and dislikes. Clients are required to bring a recent piece of mail to verify residency (unless homeless) and I.D. for all those who are in the household.
