Description:: In a world where many are in need, we faithfully respond to Godâ€™s call to care for the hungry through our Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Located at 1251 3rd Avenue SE, just a few doors down from the church, the pantry provides a needed resource for our community. Open on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 p.m., over 100 family units come to the pantry to receive groceries that will put food on their tables for the next week. But they also find more than that â€“ a cup of hot coffee or a cool drink (depending on the Iowa weather), a listening ear, and, sometimes, a shoulder to cry on. Through the pantry, we take seriously the call of Jesus to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and care for the least and the lost.
