North Denver Cares Food Pantry
Broomfield, 80020
303.466.2115
Details:

North Denver Cares food pantry is a non-profit organization that provides temporary, emergency help to the unemployed, the underemployed, the elderly on fixed incomes and single parents. Help is available on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. No one within our designated service area with a legitimate need is refused. Since its inception in 2009, the food pantry has grown significantly. We currently feed more than 400 families every week who are less fortunate. Although we are an emergency or crisis center, often we are able to help single parents change the course of their lives and move out of the unfortunate situations in which they find themselves. Many elderly people on fixed incomes are unable to purchase adequate food due to high medical expenses, so we are able to supplement their food supply. This also includes USDA food commodities. In addition, we offer information on other agencies, both governmental and non-profit, which may assist in other areas.

Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges
Orange, 07050
973-856-4000
Details: The Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges (IFPO) is a “client choice” food pantry that provides supplemental and emergency food to low-income residents of Orange and East Orange, NJ. IFPO is an all-volunteer collaborative effort of four religious congregations in Short Hills and South Orange, New Jersey - Christ Church, Congregation Beth El, Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, and Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel. The pantry is housed in the Church of the Epiphany, Orange. IFPO is one of only a few food pantries in New Jersey that offer client choice. This means that our guests have more of a grocery store experience, where clients are allocated “points,” based on family size, to select their own food, rather than receiving a pre-packaged bag of groceries. This process encourages healthy choices while also serving clients with dignity and respect. Under this system, clients do not receive food that they don’t like or cannot eat for health or personal reasons.
