  • Description: Once a week, bags of groceries are shared with individuals and families in our community. In addition to nonperishable such as rice, canned goods, boxed cereals, pasta, and peanut butter, food pantry clients receive fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and baked goods, and often meat or milk. There is always a selection of items for those who lack cooking facilities. The food pantry is open every Thursday from 3-4 p.m., with the exception of Thanksgiving. Friday Lunch Program: For over twelve years, we have provided a hot lunch to anyone who stops by the parish hall on a Friday afternoon. Each week, five to nine volunteers meet at St. Andrew’s to prepare and serve between 80 and 100 guests. The doors open at 1:00 p.m. We offer an extensive salad bar including hot rolls and fruit. As the folks settle in, our servers deliver a choice of two homemade soups. A few minutes later the servers return with the main course complete with meat, starch and vegetable. The food is excellent. More important, the service is friendly, offering our guests dignity they may not have experienced since the last Friday lunch.

Comment from Lotta Sabouri: Dear, Could my 13 year old son Andre and I come in tomorrow(Thurs 1/3) and help out. Not only does my child need to learn to help but he is need of volunteer hours for his English class at DNO Middle School. Please and Thank You!
