  • Description: The South Fort Myers Food Pantry Coalition (SFMFPC) is located on the campus of the Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church, 8260 Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers. In 2007 there were food pantries in other areas of the city but none located in South Fort Myers. The churches in this area were seeing an increase in the number of people seeking assistance. Two sizable donations were made; both designated to feed the hungry. Area churches of all denominations were notified, meetings were held and eventually the SFMFPC opened in July of 2008 with the initial support of ten churches. Support has grown and 15 churches and community organizations are involved. The pantry incorporated in 2010 and now has 501c3 tax exempt status. Presently we distribute food on Mondays between the hours of 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
