  • Description: Food Pantry Hours: 9 am - 3 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday hours, 9 am - 12 noon, are available for those working or in school (proof of employment or school necessary). The pantry is closed on Sunday. For more than 25 years, Poverello has provided life-saving food and basic life essentials to Broward County youth, women and men living with HIV/AIDS, who are at or below poverty level. Poverello is one of the largest special needs food pantries in our region and one of the only ‘consumer choice' pantries in the country. Food and groceries provided by Poverello's food pantry amount to nearly one million meals over the course of the year. Each year, the food pantry serves about 2,500 eligible Broward County residents living with HIV/AIDS, or about 15% of the total affected target population.
