It is a charitable outreach ministry and an international society of volunteers dedicated to serving our Lord by assisting the poor and needy. The SVdP Thomas and Sondra Sheehan Center is the society's main contact with families and individuals in need. The Center incorporates a food Pantry. The food pantry supplies non-perishable stable foods ranging from canned veggies and fruits to tuna, meats and cereals, to toilet paper, toiletries, diapers, baby food and cleaning supplies. The thrift store is open to the public. Sales from the store provide a portion of funds required for assistance programs and for maintaining store operations. The store accepts most kinds of donated articles like clothing, coats, shoes, toys, books and miscellaneous items in good condition. Items are sorted and displayed for sale at reasonable prices. The store has a volunteer pick-up service by appointment to bring large donations such as furniture and appliances to the center for sale and to provide direct assistance to those with an agency referral immediate need. Donations of hand carried items are accepted during normal hours of operation.
