- Description: Currently serving approximately 800 to 1,000 families per week, our Outreach Ministry meets basic needs, such as clothing, toys, resource referrals, counseling, information, ministering, meals, with the main focus targeted on supplying food baskets designed to cover the nutritional requirements for a week's worth of meals. As an example, for a family of four, the median total cost value of filling a supply basket with private, public and merchant donations is valued at $60. Families and individuals may frequent the pantry as often as once a week on Tuesdays to receive aide. This is a critical service provided to many indigent, homeless, unemployed, or destitute persons. Those who come may not necessarily qualify, or not qualify quick enough, to receive locally available government or other social aide. H.E.L.P. Ministries, Inc. is, therefore, providing a critical stopgap measure for many that have nowhere else to turn.
