• Description: At Fenton UMC, we love and provide for our community through our food pantry. The food pantry has expanded over the last few years from a small closet to a larger room and provides everything from boxes of pasta and cans of tuna to frozen meat, toothpaste, and shampoo. We help families and individuals who have found themselves food insecure for whatever reason. Food insecurity is defined as not knowing where your next meal is coming from. It may also mean you purchase food that is cheaper, but provides less nutrition for you and your children. Food insecurity is a problem not limited to Detroit or Flint, but also happens right here in our community. Our food pantry eases the burden on individuals and families; we discreetly do what we can to insure their pantries are full of healthy food.
