  • Description: The Norfolk Food Pantry began with a 1992 pilot program in January by a group of volunteers at Emmanuel. It was opened to the community at large in September of 1992. The Norfolk Food Pantry is located in the small building just behind the office building of Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Food Pantry distributes a variety of nonperishable foods as well as eggs, juice, milk and other necessities. Items are distributed to families according to need and size. All Norfolk residents finding themselves in need may come each week.
