• Description: Recognized by the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce as the 2013 non-profit of the year, the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf was formed as a non-profit organization by seven Woodbury area churches in 1983. The Woodbury Lutheran Church made space available to house CCEFS, and has remained the host church ever since. Twenty-eight years later, the need continues to grow. CCEFS is now a fully registered nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation with the Internal Revenue Service and all donations are tax deductible for contributors. In the first year of operation, an average of 5 households came to the shelf each week to obtain assistance. By 2005, the number of needy households served on average per week had increased to 75; today, as many as 100 households or more are served each week. Food Distribution Hours - Monday: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Thursday: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday: 9:00 am - 1:30 pm
