Details: Lunch at the Sal: A free community breakfast starts at 8:15 am. A free community lunch. Lunch is served from 12:00-12:30 Monday – Friday. Lunch at the Sal is more than just a free meal. Lunch at the Sal provides diners with an opportunity for fellowship and networking with others in the community. Pantry food assistance is intended to provide food for families to take home and prepare in their own kitchen. Emergency pantry assistance is available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10-11:30 & 12:30 - 2:30, Thursdays 10-12 & 12:30-4:30. No appointment necessary. Must live in Chippewa, Mackinaw or Luce Counties. Please bring with you: Valid picture ID with current address, Social Security Card for each member of the household. Bread rack is a portable shelf that has a variety of perishable food items from local grocery stores. All you need to do is come in and initial a paper at the front desk and pick a number. Then numbers are called and you can pick items off the rack and from the refrigerator. Distribution starts at 9:30am. Items not taken right away can be grabbed off the rack from the thrift store. |
