Details: Mission: “To meet the nutritional needs of Santa Clara residents by providing emergency and monthly food assistance.” FISH (Friends in Service to Humanity) of Santa Clara is a nonprofit organization established in 1974 to provide food assistance to those in need. FISH provides two types of food assistance: One-time assistance in emergency situations; Monthly food supplemental assistance for those with ongoing need Eligibility: FISH is chartered to provide food assistance to support low-income families and individuals. To be eligible to utilize the FISH resources, one must reside in the 95050 or 95051 zip codes. FISH, however, does not turn anyone away. In all cases, strict confidentiality is maintained. Also, unlike many other food assistance programs, FISH does not require proof of need. Hours: M-F: 10a.m. to 4:30p.m., Sun.: 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
