During 2012, the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County distributed more than 8.5 million meals from two warehouse locations in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.

Details: The Associated Students Food Bank is a student run and student led service at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Our primary focus is ensuring friendly, confidential service to UCSB students in need of non-perishable food and toiletries. In order to promote the comfort and moral support of students, the AS Food Bank will be accessible during regular school hours and will respect the confidentiality of its users. Students are allowed to use the food bank once a day during operation hours. Students can take a limited amount of food from different categories within the pantry.

Details: We provide a Central Distribution Facility for the low-income. Family incomes supplemented until they become self-sufficient. $1-Million in food supplies serves 6,000 household visits. Food drives need to be done by individuals, churches, schools and groups to keep our shelves stocked year-round. Cash donations allow us to purchase more food supplies at wholesale prices so more clients can be helped.
