Details: The Blessings Food Pantry provides food to families and individuals in need in Broward County from the Christ Church campus, 210 NE Third St., Pompano Beach. The food pantry also refers clients to other agencies for goods and services, helps them sign up for benefits such as Food Stamps [the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)], and helps them secure identification. The pantry, a ministry of Christ Church, is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings each week during the summer, from 9am to 12noon. It is committed to helping families and individuals work toward becoming self sufficient.

Details: Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen, Inc, a charitable tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization located in Pompano Beach, FL is dedicated to feeding the homeless and needy without discrimination. The primary mission is to provide hot lunches Monday through Friday in a peaceful and sheltered Christian environment and to provide other emergency food pantry items and clothing assistance on an as-needed basis. The overall goal is to provide nutrition and hope to give guests a hand up rather than a hand out. The Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen is dedicated to serving God’s precious poor and homeless by preparing and serving a full-course hot lunch, and providing a take-out bag with a sandwich and other goodies for later in the day. We also continue to do our best to meet their clothing needs as well. Most especially, we strive to lessen their hardships by serving them with all the love God has put into our hearts. As Mother Theresa said, “It’s not how much we do, but how much love we put into the doing.” Lunch is served every Monday – Friday from 11:30am to 12:55pm.

Details: The mission of Saint Laurence Chapel Homeless Day Shelter is to proclaim God’s love for people who are hungry and homeless by providing help and hope in a non-judgmental environment. We fulfill our mission by collaborating, developing partnerships and working with community organizations and churches across non-denominational lines in Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. Located next to the Broward Outreach Center (BOC), the Episcopal churches of Broward empower people who are homeless and hungry to become self-sufficient and help them to fulfill their basic needs by using a holistic approach. Saint Laurence Chapel Homeless Day Shelter provides an array of multifaceted services for clients who are homeless and hungry. Direct Client Services are provided Monday – Friday and on holidays. Every Sunday there is a chapel service and hot lunch from 12 to 2pm.
