South Palo Alto Food Closet Palo Alto, CA 94306 650.494.9310	Details: The Food Closet is a grocery program located at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Room 9. This program is designed to help needy families with children or disabilities by assisting them in weekly food needs. It serves families who live in Palo Alto whose income is less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Families who come to the Food Closet may need help for a short or a long time.To receive food from the South Palo Alto Food Closet, you must receive a referral from one of our referring organizations (Palo Alto School District, The Opportunity Center, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Grace Lutheran Church, St. Andrews Methodist Church, Wesley Methodist Church, Palo Alto First Christian Church, The Jewish Community Center, Unitarian Universalist Church). Families with children may receive food once a week and couples every other week. Single persons are not typically accepted, and are referred instead to the larger Palo Alto Food Closet on University Avenue.
