Details: Every hour of every day, someone in our community has a need for basic essential services, from food and clothing to assistance with utilities, dental and prescription medication. In many cases people end up going without these needs. It can be devastating to a family who suffers from lost wages due to illness, unemployment, delays in federal and state programs and other family crisis. Family Service Society, Inc. is an organization that helps with these unfortunate types of situations. Founded in 1927 by local business leaders, Family Service Society, Inc. has served the community for more than 87 years, providing immediate emergency relief to residents of Paducah/McCracken County. Family Service Society, Inc. offers assistance with the following: rent due to fire or flood, utilities, prescription medications, dental assistance, food, personal hygiene products, clothing, Christmas food assistance and eyeglasses through the Paducah Lions Club. Family Service Society, Inc. is a United Way partner agency and also seeks fundraising opportunities and donations from the community to help keep our programs and services going and growing.

Details: The Paducah Cooperative Ministry seeks to do God’s work with human hands by bringing together individuals and resources to respond to basic human needs and conditions in McCracken County. Food Pantry Program: PCM provides a 2-3 day supply of emergency groceries to families in crisis once a month up to five times in any given one-year period. To qualify for assistance, families must provide: Picture identification of applying member; Social Security cards for all members of the household; Proof of income (i.e., award letter or 3 consecutive check stubs).
