Services provided meet the immediate, basic survival needs of families with low incomes while staff members also help clients identify long-term solutions that lead to self-sufficiency.The program’s goal is to ensure families' and individuals' basic needs are met - having enough food to prevent going to bed hungry; rent money to avoid eviction and homelessness; water to bathe in or prepare food; electricity to run a refrigerator and lights; and gas to heat their homes and cook. The Program operates at the organization’s Emergency Assistance Centers. All centers are located in fully accessible buildings where clients may walk-in or make an appointment. Some services are available in Lawrence. There are no fees for services provided.
College Church of the Nazarene - Blessings Food Market
Olathe, KS 66062

There are many people who have experienced some hard financial burdens during these tough economic times, and this one of the ways that we can show God's love. Because our supplies are at times limited, and to be good stewards of the resources, there are some limited guidelines we operate by: Must be a resident of Olathe (bring proof of residency), or attend College Church of the Nazarene, or be referred by a member of College Church of the Nazarene; May visit on a monthly basis up to 3 times in a 12-month period. Opportunities for further visits or weekly visits are also available with consultation by Pastor John Oster. Some criteria will apply; Visits are by appointment only.
