Details: Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry has been serving the residents in downtown Muskegon since 1997. A volunteer-run pantry operating under the umbrella of God's Kitchen, Loaves and Fishes works with parishes throughout Muskegon. Among those using the pantry are single-parent families, unemployed individuals, working low-income families, senior citizens and others in special circumstances of life. The volunteers work one-on-one with clients as they choose the food that best fills their family’s needs. Hours of Operation: Tues, Fri, Thurs: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Patrons may visit the pantry once every four weeks. |

Details: God’s Kitchen Along the Lakeshore located at the Sacred Heart Parish in Muskegon Heights serves evening meals Monday through Thursday. The meals are provided for individuals and families in a comfortable setting. All are welcome. |

Details: Emergency Food Pantry - Our pantry is open Monday through Friday in the afternoon beginning at 12:30 pm, with the last client being seen at 3:45. No appointment is needed, but a sign-in timesheet is provided when the pantry opens for convenience. Eligible clients can access the pantry as emergency needs arise with a minimum of 30 days between visits. Budgeting & Nutrition classes are offered to all clients but are required after the 6th visit within a calendar year before further assistance is given to assist the client with stretching their means & better utilizing future assistance. The pantry is stocked with frozen meats & non-perishable items donated or purchased locally as well as through Feeding America, West Michigan’s food bank. In addition to the pantry, perishable donations such as bagels & breads donated by local bakeries and produce in season are made available to anyone in need. |
