Details: Food Pantry: This mission work has been a mainstay at MUMC for over ten years. The food is purchased with funds from our church members, donated by local merchants, or contributed by other churches, schools, and service organizations. We are proud of the fact that the pantry hands out free food to all those (average of 150 families per week) who say they need it...we don't take names and we don't ask questions. The food is distributed every Friday morning. Your help will touch lives in profound ways, and if you help on Fridays you will meet some wonderful people who need your love as much as they need the food. Prior to opening the Pantry each Friday, there is also a Bible Study for those patrons who wish to participate. |

Details: The food pantry began in early 2011 and is operated by a group of volunteers from Lighthouse Christian Center with a passion to serve the Lord and those in need. We are blessed by God to be able to do His work here. Our food is purchased from a variety of sources and we are aleways searching for additional resources. The food pantry presently distributes food on Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 11:00 A.M.at the Lighthouse Christian Center, located off of Winchester Road at 38435 Innovation Court in Murrieta. If you know of someone in need who can not travel to pick up food, please call Lighthouse at 951-698-7633 and let them know. A volunteer will bring the food to the people. |
