The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho District Council, Inc. - Food Pantry @ Holy Apost
Meridian, ID 83642
Details: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Idaho District Council operates three Food Pantries. People need food for many reasons. High fuel and housing costs make it difficult for families to make ends meet. In most people's budget, food dollars are the last dollars spent. If any other crisis comes up, they do not have enough to buy the food they need. Then they come to pantries such as ours for help. Food is given to anyone who walks in and no one is turned away. When our Food Pantry volunteers note a frequent visitor to the Food Pantry it signals that perhaps there is a need for further assistance or resource information. Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Meridian Food Bank
Meridian, ID 83642
208.888.5102
Details: The Meridian Food Bank has been serving our neighbors in need for more than a decade. We began operating in 1999 as the Valley Shepherd Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Center. Initially the center was a place for homeless and low-income people in Meridian to receive food and clothing. In 2004 we began operating as a nonprofit food pantry doing business as the Meridian Food Bank. The mission of our all-volunteer organization is to provide nourishing food to people in need and to refer them to other resources that may assist them beyond their need for food. We are supported in our efforts by a wide variety of local churches, civic organizations, businesses, and individuals.
