Details: Soup Kitchen: This community feeding program has been around for a long time, and because of a loyal and generous list of local volunteers, we have the opportunity to keep it going. Everyone is invited to enjoy the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen meals and to fellowship with our wonderful community. We serve weekly: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday @ 5:00pm, Second helpings are served @ 5:30pm. Take-out meals are on Wednesdays and Fridays @ 5:45pm. Food Boxes: These food boxes are prepared to provide enough food for the family for a span of three to five days. In most cases, the amount of food received if prepared and proportioned properly could last up to seven to ten days. The food for these boxes is provided by donations from the community and by the Idaho Food Bank. We also receive USDA items on a required basis. |

Details: Community Action Partnership food banks are located in Bonners Ferry, Coeur d’Alene, Kellogg, St. Maries, and Lewiston. Income-qualified people living in CAP’s service area can access nutrition services through these food banks and/or through linkages to other community feeding programs in their communities. CAP food banks provide a clearinghouse program where perishable food items such as breads, deli items, salads, milk and other dairy products, pastries, fruits, vegetables and fresh produce may be available once per week. This program is designed to help stretch food dollars and food stamps on a regular basis. CAP food banks provide a food box program. Food boxes are available for individuals, and families who are in need of food assistance that provides approximately a week’s worth of groceries to make three meals each day. These non- perishable food items are donated through food drives, from groups, individuals, churches, and purchased with donated dollars. Food banks may purchases milk, eggs and meat to supplement donations and provide a complete, nutritional food box. |

Details: Valley Christian Center opens our food pantry to Valley families in need. We require a referral from Community Action, YWCA, Family Promise or other community agencies. We are open for pick up Tuesday & Wednesday from 9am-4pm and Fridays from 9am-1pm. Families are limited to one box per month. |

Details: New Bridges is dedicated to developing programs that use community partners and volunteers to meet practical needs, provide life skill classes, transportation, and housing. One of the ways we meet practical needs is through our Community Food Pantry. Our pantry is stocked with nutritious foods donated by our generous congregation members and is open to anyone in the community who is in need of food. Our pantry serves approximately 40 families and individuals per month in the Lewis-Clark Valley. |
