Details: The food pantry at the Avon Baptist Church was established in the early 1990's. Originally it was stocked by the congregation, but now it is supplied through donations from church members, town residents, Avon Co-op Bank, Council on Aging, collection by the Avon Post Office in May, cub scouts, girl scouts, Avon Public Schools, library and other community organizations. We service an average of 20 families from Avon each month. If you find yourself in need of assistance and are an Avon resident, contact the church office. The Food Pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to Noon. Please call first at (508) 583-8076 so your order will be ready for pick up. |
