- Description: While a referral is expected, no one will be rejected. We operate under Albemarle Food Bank in conjunction with Dare County Social Service to provide people in need of emergency help while waiting for Food Assistance cards. Since we have only limited refrigeration, a small stipend is given to each recipient who brings a referral form for perishables. We operate on contributions from local Churches, organizations, businesses, schools, individuals, and designated memorials.
