- Description: As a faith based organization it is the mission of Midwest Food Bank to alleviate hunger and poverty by gathering and distributing food donations to not-for-profits and disaster sites without cost to the recipients. Our location serves the eastern 2/3 of Illinois assisting over 235 agencies in 39 counties. Each month these agencies drive to Bloomington to pick up their food and personal care products to redistribute to their clients. These agencies serve over 135,000 individuals each month.
