- Description: The FCS Food Pantry provides food to residents in need from Freeport and Pownal, Maine. Volunteers distribute donated and purchased fresh meat, fresh and frozen produce, canned goods, dog food and personal care products. The Freeport Community Services food pantry shelves are stocked through the generous donations of local grocery stores, natural and specialty food stores, farms, businesses, community organizations, and civic groups. FCS is a partner agency with the Good Shepherd Food Bank (GSFB), and supplemental supplies are purchased at the GSFB warehouse. FCS also receives supplies through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) of the US Department of Agriculture. Many donations come from YOU, the local residents. Thank you for your generosity.
