Details: Inter-Faith Ministries works as a caring and sharing group of faith-based congregations, organizations and individuals to help those in the greater Modesto area who are in need of food, clothing and other humanitarian services. Choice Pantry - Our pantry service offers 3 days of emergency groceries for eligible low-income people, who may use the service every 30 days. Monday-Friday 8:30 AM -11:30 AM, Every 4th Saturday of the month 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Available to residents of Modesto, Salida, Ceres, Empire and Waterford. Clients have many choices, based on their needs, individual preferences and food allergies. All clients must provide two forms of identification, such as medical cards, insurance cards, immunization cards or birth certificates, not including a social security card. And also a proof of address, such as a current bill, legal mail or rent receipt and current proof of income, such as a pay stub, bank statement, award letter or denial letter. Community Clothes Closet: Our free Clothes Closet is open for eligible low-income and homeless people to visit every 30 days. Details: Our congregation has long maintained a food pantry to share with others who need a bag of groceries to tide them over. Our food pantry is staffed by volunteers, and open to the public M/W/F at 10-10:30am & again at 1:30-2pm. We spend some time visiting with each person who requests help. We also offer a Bible and a copy of “People of the Park†with the explanation: “Each of the seven true stories is about a family from this church. By reading these stories, you will see that God can touch anybody’s life—including yours. This is a safe place to worship.†Each person who comes to us is in need of so much more than just food. So, we also ask if the visitor has any needs that we might pray about. When these individuals open up to us about their lives and their needs, our eyes are also opened to see more than just a person in need of food, but a child of God in need of love and forgiveness from a God big enough to handle all of their problems. The Davis Park Food Pantry is a blessing, not only to the families who come to us for food, but even more so for those of us honored to give it to them. |

Details: The Manna Ministry is Victory In Praise's food giving/feeding ministry that is designed to feed those in need. Both members and non-members are encouraged to come and utilize these services provided the church. Every Wednesday at 6 pm we feed hot meals, and every forth Saturday of each month we give away boxes of food. Please tell a friend about these services we provide as you know a lot of people that are in need don't have access to the internet and aren't aware of our services. Together we can reach 10% of Modesto with Christ, in every way possible. |

Each month we are blessed to provide a generious amount of food to 65-70 families, and we continue to see the number of families increase during this difficult economic time. |

Details: The Modesto Love Center is an emergency food pantry that provides food to those in need. We are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12noon. If you need help, please stop by to sign up and get your box of food. The following is required to sign up: Valid/Current Driver's License or Photo ID; Social Security card for each family member signing up; A current utility bill (proof of your address). We do not accept photo copies of any of the required documents listed above. All documents are required each time you pick up a box. Once you get signed up you may return every other month. |
