Details: An emergency grocery program provides food assistance to over 1,500 families each month. In 2012, OUR Center distributed nearly 940,000 pounds of emergency groceries to 16,218 households (41,671 individuals). The food pantry team of volunteers helps clients fill out food vouchers and assists clients with selections from the personal care and bonus window. Volunteers also manage donations, weighing food, marking out bar codes and stocking the food pantry shelves. We take walk-ins, or people can be referred through the Intake Caseworker. Vouchers for food are obtained at the Intake Center at 303 Atwood St. and may be received once per week. To obtain a food voucher, the following documentation is required: Photo Identification; Address verification that shows residency in the greater Longmont area and is less than three months old. The Food Pantry is located at the Hospitality Center, 250 3rd Avenue in Longmont. Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The Round Pantry at Westview Presbyterian Church

Details: In spring 2010, Westview's Round Pantry, a member agency of Community Food Share (CFS), opened to serve the hungry in Longmont. The pantry is open 2-7 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month for anyone in need of food. Food supplies come from the CFS warehouse and from members who donate items for the shelves, refrigerator, and freezer of the Pantry. Nonperishable items can be left in labeled tubs at any time. Perishable items can be taken to the Round Pantry on the Sundays before the second and fourth Tuesdays of a month before the worship service begins so that a volunteer can store them at the appropriate temperature. There are many Pantry tasks for which volunteers are needed.

Details: Wellspring Storehouse is a resource center at Vinelife that answers God’s call to reach out with compassion and meet the basic needs of our own church body, our friends and neighbors, and our local community. The Storehouse is open to individuals who need assistance, to the church body, who may take resources to those in need. Wellspring is open on Sundays from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m..
