Details: A hot meal is served 364 days a year. Serving 50-80 people including those living on the street, families attempting to stretch their income and travelers temporarily stranded in the area. Soup Kitchen Hours: Monday through Sunday - Open 3:00-5:00 pm - Dinner served at 4:00 pm. Courtesy of local business donations and Table to Table, bread, pastries, and other perishable food items are available for clients to take home. No application required. Open during soup kitchen hours.

Details: Residents of Johnson County can receive grocery assistance once a week, with no limit on the number of weekly visits per year. Clients may choose the items which will work best for their family, with some limits based on family size. The Food Bank provides non-perishable items as well as produce, bakery, deli, dairy, and health and hygiene items as they are available through donations. The Food Bank is open weekdays, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Tuesdays from 12:00 to 7:00 pm and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. When the Iowa City Community School District cancels school because of bad weather, the Food Bank will also be closed.
