Details: The Salvation Army Chicago Blue Island and Community Center serves our communities in the Blue Island area by providing food supplies for families and individuals in need. We do this every Wednesday and we partner with the Chicago Food Depository to provide as many supplies as we can to the people in need we serve. The food Pantry has the following schedule: 9:00am to 12:00pm, and 1pm to 4pm. We serve on a basis of first come first serve. However, all our clients receive the same kind and amount of goods every Wednesday. Individuals and families can bring an ID, proof of address, paycheck tab and documents to prove family dependent on the first visit. We also ask that our clients visit once every 30 days to give room to other people to benefit from this service. |
